Gena Chipley
For Gena Chipley, interior design, art, and construction are a way of life and a natural experience. Her expertise as an interior designer is not contrived or copied. Her design styles are fresh, comfortable, and they offer an artistic reflection of her client’s lifestyle. From residential to commercial, Gena brings unbridled enthusiasm balanced by proficient design skills and artistic talent to her projects. As the daughter of a sculptor and architectural designer, Gena developed an innate understanding of art and design through early childhood exposure. In high school, while working for the family design and construction firm, she nurtured her design and construction skills. Gena managed design clients in esteemed Scottsdale communities like Troon, Desert Mountain, and Desert Highlands. She developed an on-the-job understanding of alternative building systems, construction timelines, draw schedules, permit processes, lien and pre-lien processes, as well as construction drawings and ancillary relevant documents. Gena maintains working knowledge of ADA and IBC codes and she is able to decipher and explain complex construction blueprints. She has experience working with a variety of architects and engineers to ensure the satisfaction of the requirements of local municipalities. For a period of three years, Gena moved to San Francisco to work for an esteemed design firm that was developing luxury residential properties. She had the pleasure of working with clients on interior architecture, space planning, procurement of hard surface materials, as well as selection of fine art, furnishings and accessories.
